Inspiration from Erdem!

Spring/summer is a great excuse to show your femininity with pastel colours, dresses and floral patterns being the centre of a great daytime look. As well as great names like Erdem, featuring baby blue and yellow floral ranges at London fashion week, highstreet and online stores such as New Look and Boohoo, also have a gorgeous variety of clothes at great prices.
Here's some of my favourite pics:

this powder pink chiffon maxi skirt from New Look will look great paired with a simple sleevless cami and silver accesories. Maxi skirts are a great way to be feminine without showing your legs off.

This yellow lace shell top from Boohoo is really pretty and summery. The pattern and colour is similar to that of Erdems floral pieces, and will brighten up your wardrobe! Also i found a stunning sunflower print dress with a sweatheart fit and a flared skirt which make it so pretty, and the neutral colour suede heels that it's moddelled with just finish the outfit!

This Topshop Lace Racer skirted dress is a great example of Erdems sophisticated and alluring lace pieces but with the added splash of orange peeping through which gives it that young modern feel. It's a simple but effective shape with incredible detail which is what Erdems designs made the show tear-jerking and brilliant!

20's for 2012

this year 20's style is big news! It has hit the catwalk like a ton of bricks; Ralph Lauren especially featured it in his collection as well as big names like Gucci and Armani. This style ties in perfectly this year with the arrival of an upcoming drama/romance movie based on The Great Gatsby a popular book set in the 1920's.

It was in the 1920's that women began to wear more comfortable clothing - other than big puffy gowns - such as trousers and short skirts. On the catwalk however, we see more feathers, beads, and silk, and that is what makes the 20's!

Here's some of my favourite looks from the Topshop collection "Deco Grunge" inspired by the roaring twenties. In stores now ;)

New year, new you?

It's a brand new year people, which means there's little of winter left until spring! So no matter how gorgeous those boots and coats are, it's time to start saving for a jaw-dropping spring/summer wardrobe.  So here are some of my favourite spring/summer prints and styles to look out for this season straight from the catwalk with the approval of Vogue!

1. Firstly, there has been an underwater theme swimming down the catwalk, with Giorgio Armani, Givenchy, Versace, Alexander Mcqueen, and even Chanel getting in on the action. Look out for seashells and seacreatures!

2. Another outgoing print to look out for in spring is cars and other vehicles. The rule of thumb is three different cars make the trend. This beautiful Prada number ticks that box.

3. Candy pastel pallettes are on this years list yet again, with popular lacy mint green and powder pink dresses from Louis Vuitton that look good enough to eat.

4. A rare new idea has evolved from the catwalk called Flatforms. Platform shoes that are flat and can be transformed into "height in sandals". We saw them on brogues earlier in 2011 but they have now been created into a whole new range of shoe. There are some fabulous Nicholas Kirkwood for Pollini flatforms with the same colours and effects of sandals on a weaved two colour platform.

5. Fruit and other foods. This theme has been pondering about the catwalk for a while but it's not until recently that it has finally taken a huge leap with designers such as Dolce and Gabbana playing with their food. Not only has this print been shown on clothing but chilli pepper and raw pasta earrings have also made an entrance
